Sol Baby Wins Easy Reader’s Best of the Beach

Sol Baby has won a Best of the Beach from Easy Reader! What an honor! I’m so proud that my customers in the South Bay love my store!

Our readers love to dress their babies up in the same cool, unique, funky fashions in which they dress themselves. Sol Baby offers trendy clothes for small peeps, or “babies with soul.”
The kid’s clothing boutique offers clothing for girls and boys aged zero to six, including tops, footwear, hats, bibs and leg wear. Rock ‘n’ roll tees and onesies are a big hit with their tiny clientele.
“I feel like the store embodies this town,” owner Gina Rothwell said. “It’s as edgy, funky, and unique as the people who live here.”
In 2006, Rothwell opened the shop with the philosophy of selling clothing that reflects a love of life and nature, peace on earth, music, and sun. She features small, up-and-coming designers to bring hard-to-come-by fashions to tots in the South Bay.

Rye and Avery Sol BABIES of the Month!

Our very first twins to win! Sol Babies of the Month! It’s pretty exciting! Rye and Avery are checking in from the Bay area and I’m glad they did! My Friend Bryce in Haiti

My good friend Bryce, who owns the store Curious… right next to Sol Baby was so moved by the tradgedy in Haiti he decided to raise some money, grab a flight and volunteer. He left a few days ago on March 2 and will be gone for a month or more depending on how it all works out. It’s a pretty incredible gesture and I’m so proud of him. He packed up his tools, protecting them with lots of onesies, tees, blankets and bibs that I had given him. They were so graciously donated by www.kidsblanks.com the t-shirt vendor I use for my own Sol Baby tees.
He emailed me a few hours ago saying how the highlight of his trip so far has been giving out the clothes. From his email:
Today I practically delivered twins, I’m only half kidding. You should have seen the smiles when I gave her the blankets and matching pink onesies!
Bryce is only on day two so far, and I am looking forward to hearing what his next experience is!
